Unfortunately, the Castle is not available for visits. Boat trips run from Castlebay Marina around the Castle. Historic Environment Scotland have an 'Information Centre' based in Castlebay.

From Airport carpark turn left onto the main road and then approximately 3 miles later, turn right at Northbay T-junction. Drive approximately 5 miles taking a right turn into Nask and onwards to Vatersay. Driving approximately 5 miles, crossing the Causeway over to Vatersay.
Vatersay School is on the right hand side as you approach the head of a sandy bay.
From mainland ferry www.calmac.co.uk
As you drive off the ferry, turn left at the top of the pier road. Drive on the A888 for approximately 3/4 mile. Take a left turn into Nasg and onwards to Vatersay. Drive approximately 5 miles, crossing the Causeway over to Vatersay.
Vatersay School is on the right hand side as you approach the head of a sandy bay.
